In the second quarter of 2025, the city building game category on Android in the UK saw varied performance across the top applications. Here's a closer look at how these games fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

State Connect: Traffic Control by CASUAL AZUR GAMES showed a decline in weekly downloads, starting from 5.7K at the end of March and dropping to about 3.7K by the end of June. Revenue followed a similar pattern, with a peak of $339 at the end of April, decreasing to $143 by late June. Active users initially increased, peaking at 29.3K in mid-May, before settling at around 15.4K at quarter’s end.

Puzzles & Chaos: Frozen Castle from 37GAMES maintained strong weekly revenue, averaging over $30K, with a notable peak at $42.8K in the last week of June. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 4.8K in mid-June. Active users reached a high of 15.7K in mid-June, slightly declining to 13.5K by the end of the quarter.

SimCity BuildIt by ELECTRONIC ARTS experienced steady weekly downloads, ranging from 1.6K to 3.1K throughout the quarter. Revenue peaked at $19.6K in late April, while active users saw a resurgence from 6.8K in mid-May to 9.3K by the end of June.
